The Cryptkeeper Five are looking for a new drummer. Unfortunately or fortunately, depending on who you talk to, D.T. Graves found himself a career. D.T. Graves + Career = No Touring. This means The Cryptkeeper Five are down a man.
Dave is still gonna play with us locally and on our weekened stints until we find a new man. He is still very much a part of The CK5. We do, however, still need a fulltime, touring, drummer. So here's the list of requirements to be a Cryptkeeper.
THE CRYPTKEEPER FIVE ARE LOOKING FOR A DRUMMER + Must be willing to tour (a few months a year - not all at once) + Must be willing to record + Must be available to practice 2/3 times a week + Must be available to play 2/3 times a week, when not on tour + Alcoholics are okay, as long as you're a DEPENDABLE one + Drug addicts are okay too, just as long as you are DEPENDABLE + Homeless people are not okay, Jimmy hates em (even dependable ones) + WE NEED A GOOD, DEPENDABLE DRUMMER

It's been almost a year since our last post. Ceilidh Madigan left the band. He is doing well as Barnum and Baileys' newest trapeze artist. He goes by The Flying Irishman.
We're done with our half of The Cryptkeeper Five / Blitzkid split lp "Split Personalities". It sounds pretty fucking cool. Their half sounds pretty amazing as well. Be on the lookout.
Our next full length album is almost done. We've recorded 19 songs, we'll release maybe 12. Maybe 12. Be on the lookout for that too!!

November 10th, 2008

We're gonna finish all guitar tracks this Wednesday... Jimmy's leads, my rythm, acoustic, and everything else guitar`related... It is coming along really really well... We'll hopefully start saxophone next week...
We're also gonna finish backing vocals on 6 of the songs for the acoustic album this week... The acoustic songs are very different for the CK5 and they've kinda taken on a life of their own... We really didn't know what to expect going into this... I kinda had an idea of how it would go, but I've been totally wrong so far... we'll post something soon

So, we're finished with the drum and bass tracks on the new CK5 album... Jimmy goes in this Sunday to record his rhythm guitar tracks... It's coming along great...
We're almost done recording 3 songs for the acoustic album, we just need to slap some vocals on em and Presto Chango(that's Italian for Whallah) they're done... they need to be mixed, but they sound great...

The Cryptkeeper Five head into SRG Studios July 6th and 7th to start recording drum tracks for our next album... We will start 16 new songs and hope to be done in the fall... We're pretty psyched and feel this will be the best CK5 album to date...
While we record our next album we'll be recording a batch of acoustic songs at SS Sound Studios and we'll be mixing our split with Blitzkid, Split Personalities... Sooo there will be lots of new recordings coming out this year...
